Prayers for Pope Leo XIV as He Prepares for Surgery

The faithful of the Archdiocese of Toronto are invited to join in prayer for our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, as he prepares to undergo surgery this week.

The Holy Father announced on Sunday, October 11, that doctors had discovered a small, localized nodule in his lung during a recent medical examination. The nodule was detected at a very early stage, and doctors have recommended surgery to remove it.

We join Catholics around the world in praying for a successful procedure, for the medical professionals entrusted with his care, and for a full and speedy recovery.

May the Lord grant Pope Leo strength, comfort and healing as he continues his ministry of shepherding the universal Church.

Our Lady, Health of the Sick, pray for our shepherd.
